The Country Continent
[ GB001 ]

The Country Continent, the first in Green Bean's series of musicals about the world's seven continents, is a tuneful tour of Australia, the land down under. The title song begins our virtual journey, traveling from "the West coast surf in the city of Perth" to the East coast's Great Barrier Reef. "Watch Out For That Boomerang" is a humorous song of warning for anyone toying with this famous Australian game. "The Kookaburra From Canberra" introduces a short-tempered bird who is proud of Australia's capital, and gets offended when anyone mistakes another city for the capital. "The Australianguage" weaves many words from Australia's unique vocabulary into a tongue-twisting tapestry. The final song, "Don't Walk On Ayer's Rock," explains that it is considered sacrilegious to walk on Uluru, which is the Aboriginal name for one of the biggest rocks in the world.
